This morning at dawn Greek riot police cleared the picket line of Malamatina workers in front of the gates of the plant where they had been protesting for days against the dismissal of 15 workers.

Some workers and union leaders were injured or intoxicated by the sprays used by the riot police.

Once again the police force is being used against workers in struggle to ensure that the bosses can continue their exploitation and dismissals.

Eurof WFTU stands by the Greek workers organised with PAME and demands the immediate reinstatement of dismissed workers and an end to all violence against workers in struggle.

Eurof WFTU invites all member organisations to send messages of solidarity to the Malamatina workers.
