USB: the struggle of Alitalia workers goes on

Thousands of Alitalia workers fighting at Fiumicino airport, stronger than the truncheons and Draghi’s ultraliberal doctrine. Five thousand Alitalia workers have been demonstrating since this morning at Fiumicino airport while the air transport strike proclaimed by all the trade unions is underway.
Watch the video.

At the mobilization against the shameful ITA industrial plan, supported by a government capable of putting a chokehold on Parliament, delegations from other ongoing disputes, such as GKN, ex Ilva, Atitech and the dockers of Genoa and Livorno, are participating.

After the speeches in front of the airport, the workers moved in procession towards the Rome-Fiumicino freeway, reached despite the truncheons of the police, blocking the traffic towards the airport.
Alitalia workers are determined to continue the fight until Altavilla and the government will not withdraw and re-discuss the scandalous business plan presented in deference to the wishes of Brussels and the ultra-liberal doctrine of Draghi, not surprisingly honored with a standing ovation by the assembly of Confindustria.

USB will never leave Alitalia workers alone, firmly demands the protection of contracts and rights, starting with the full payment of wages, says no to Altavilla and his plan that is nothing but a social experiment made by a wholly public company to dismantle the remaining labor protections.

The struggle goes on.
