Dear fellows, We denounce the layoff of the President of the Union of Employees in Private Education of Athens, Elpida Nassiopoulou on the grounds that she rejected working on the anniversary of the Polytechnic Uprising.
We support the struggle of our teacher fellows in Greece.
Nassiopoulou must be reinstated immediately. As the Polytechnic Uprising cannot be erased from the memory of those fighting for their rights in Greece, layoffs cannot bring private education teachers to their knees.
We will end exploitation and pressure in schools with internationalist solidarity of teachers from both countries.
Long live international solidarity of the working class!
With our compliments of companionship,
Unity Trade Union (Turkey)
