The Unione Sindacale di Base expresses its full support and solidarity with the metallurgic workers and PAME affected by an extremely reactionary judgment .

The Greek court has sentenced to 24 months of prison for workers in struggle for the defense of employment, with this judgment has wanted to hit one of the symbols of the popular resistance to the policies of the EU.

In recent years the Greek working class has been at the forefront in the mobilizations against the Troika and in countering the rise of fascism and xenophobia.

This sentence perfectly fits with the repressive policies shared and managed at European level. The Greek bourgeoisie, as the Italian, are part of the oligarchy that is leading to social ruin the peoples of Europe and to do that they do not hesitate to put in practice and to assume in legal systems, a character more and more reactionary.

The european class unions coordinated by WFTU, are an active part of the resistance and of the struggle to break the cage of the European Union.

In these situations the solidarity with the workers at the Metallurgical PAME and the greek people against the common enemy is a duty and a necessity.
