The Kazakhstani trade union “Zhanartu” expresses its solidarity with the dockers and workers of the Piraeus port of COSCO, which are due to begin another strike on September 7. We fully support the struggle of the workers of the port of Piraeus to conclude a collective agreement and improve working conditions.

The fact that the company refuses to negotiate and make concessions, having huge profits and an increase in the volume of transportation of goods, speaks of the desire of employers to increase the exploitation of workers. We know from the PAME messages that employers tried to disrupt the workers’ struggle and organized attacks on union leaders.

We wholeheartedly support the demands and actions of ENEDEP and PAME in their efforts to uphold the rights and interests of workers and send their greetings and words of solidarity to all port workers! Only the general solidarity of all working people is capable of breaking the resistance of the capitalists and protecting our rights!
