Dear comrades,

 I come from the other side of the water. I’m from turkey.

 As I begin my speech, theTurkish and Greek Governments have been trying to escalate a new conflict between our countries  in  recent days.  Turkish and Greek governments can not solve the problems  of  workers and laborers classes. The only solution they see  is  the rope  of  war. This conflict attempt  is  an  attempt to turn neither  of  our two peoples into enemies. This conflict  is fake. This conflict is intendedtom is lead the working and laboring classes.

Dear comrades, brother and sisters

For us workers;   Turkish and Greek goverments are the American collaborator in both governments. In the two governments currently in power,   they  are the government of  the bourgeoisie. The interests  of  the bourgeoisie and the interests of  the working class cannot be shared. It serves the interests  of  the American arms monopolies in both governments. It only serves the interests  of the bourgeoisie out  of  this conflict. Workers and laborers  can never benefit from this conflict. Workers and laborers of the two countries must oppose this conflict. Of course I know this is difficult. Against all these difficulties, we must oppose this conflict. We must  not allow the Turkish and Greek bourgeoisie to turn the two peoples enemies each other

Dear comrades, brothers and sisters

Greece and Turkey are neighboring  countries.  Greek people and Turkish people have lived together on the same land for over a thousand years. Our cultures are the same, our food is the same, oursngsare the same, our pains are the same. We are brothers! We will continue to be brothers.

The interests of the working class of Greece and Turkey are common. Greek and Turkish workers and laborers are brothers. Our salvation will be together. That’s why we have to fight together. This is not a choice, it is a necessity. The internationalist struggle of the working class also necessitates fighting together.

The Turkish and Greek bourgeoisie have been sowing nationalist and chauvinistseeds among workers and laborers forde cades. Down with all nationalism and chauvinism. Long live the brother hood of peoples and peace, long live the Internationalist struggle of the working class!

During the pandemic period, the working class of Turkey continued to work and produce. Workers were forced to work, despite the fact that people were banned from leaving the house for days in the country. Thousands of workers died due to the Pandemic. Hundreds of thousands  of workers became ill due to the pandemic out break. Despite the government banning lay offs due to the pandemic, hundreds  of  thousands  of  workers lost their jobs by employers.  During the pandemic, the governments uspended all trade union rights. Unfortunately, while all this was going on, the unions could not find very active solutions to the problems of  the workers. Because the trade union movement  in our country does not want to engage in democratic class and mass unionism. Trade union policies in Turkey are determined according to social dialogue unionism.

Inflation rate in ourcountry is the highest in the world. The inflation rate announced by the government  is seventy-three percent. But our people not believe in the rate that Erdogan announced. The inflation rate announced by independent institutions  is higher than one hundred and fifty percent. Workers and laborers have difficulty in meeting their basic food needs. Hunger, poverty, theft, bribery and prostitution continue to increase day by day in the country. There is a huge increase in the number of people who commit suicide. Millions of university graduates are unemployed. Small businesses are going bankrupt. During the pandemic process, the number of millionaires in the country exploded. The capitalists further increased their profits.

Autocrat Erdogan, who see conomic policies have gone bankrupt, continues his policies of oppression and intimidation against progressives, communists, Kurds, allevish, ecologists, human rights defenders, LGBTI+ individuals, especiall your working class. Autocrat Erdogan declares every dissident an enemy. Canan Kaftancıoğlu, the Istanbul provincial head of the country’s largest social Democratic party, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for criticizing Autocrat Erdoğan in her socialmedia post. The leader of  theKurds, Selahattin Demirtaş, has been in prison for years. Ecologists who participated in the Gezi Park Protests were sentenced to decades.

It has been waging war for forty years against the Kurds, who demand free dom by the bourgeois state. More than forty thousand Kurdish youth were killed in this war. And it continues to be killed. Due to the war in Syria, five million Syrian refugees live in our country. For the bourgeoisie, the refugee means cheap labor. Syrian refugees are employed in the heaviest and dirtiest jobs. Hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees have been perpetuated by crimes such as drugs, theft, and prostitution.
