PAME expresses its solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan who are fighting against authoritarianism and repression against poverty, unemployment and inequality, for a life with rights.
Conflicts and competitions between monopolies, the exploitation of energy sources for the profit of the few, have dramatic consequences for the peoples, who see the cost of living increase daily with tragic consequences.
In Greece the working class, the people are facing the severe consequences of the anti-popular policy and the attack of capital, of the commercialized health in the conditions of the pandemic, the increased prices, the increased cost of oil and basic goods.
The people who are fighting for their rights are not “terrorists”. Repression and authoritarianism, the criminalization of trade union action, the banning of strikes, the persecution of militant workers are the Government’s response to curb the growing anger and indignation of the peoples.
We express our solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan and their just struggle for the betterment of their standard of living, against the plunder of the country’s energy wealth by the monopolies, for democratic freedoms and trade union rights.
