PAME expresses its solidarity to the workers and the people of Sri Lanka for the tragic events that followed the floods of the last days.

Unfortunately, as the days go by, the number of the dead rises, while thousands have been affected and lost their homes. Once more it is proven that the “natural phenomena” affect firstly and mainly the workers and the poor people, who survive under very difficult conditions as the Governments take measures for the profitability of the multinationals but regard as cost the measures to protect the lives of the workers

PAME stands by the side of the affected and expresses its sadness to the families of the victims
