On the morning of Wednesday, January 19, the Israeli security forces once again gave credentials of barbarism and inhumanity. After 4 years of repeated efforts, they “succeeded” in demolishing the house of a Palestinian family living in the Sheikh Jarrah district of East Jerusalem.

The demolition of the home of a Palestinian family by the armed Israeli occupying army reveals once again the hypocrisy of the imperialist centers and the governments of the countries that continue the policy of supposedly equal distances, of equating the attacker with the victim.

The murderous state of Israel continues the barbaric policy of the settlements, the displacement of the Palestinian people, the arrests and killings of Palestinians with the open tolerance and support of the US-NATO-EU and the Greek governments. As a result of this support, dozens of Palestinian families are being threatened with eviction from their homes every day, especially in the Sheikh Jarrah district of East Jerusalem as part of the Israeli occupation and settlement of Palestinian land.

PAME denounces the new demolitions of Palestinians’ houses by Israel in East Jerusalem. The Greek Trade Unions, Federations and Regional Unions Centers that rally with PAME stand by the people of Palestine in their struggle for a free, independent Palestine on the 1967 border with East Jerusalem as its capital.
