Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) strongly denounces the atrocious attack on the working class of Greece by the Government by enacting laws inflicting onslaught on right to ‘8 hours work’ of the working class and increase in working hours more than 8 hours a day. The barbaric legislation is drafted to empower employers class to attack on Right to Trade Union, Right to Collective Agitation and Right to Strike.
CITU congratulates the Greek working class for unleashing a massive militant campaign and propaganda under the leadership of PAME against the anti-labour drive of the Greek Government. Such activities has exposed the conspiracy of the Government to impose the new law denying the trade unions the right to present the views of the workers.
Now, PAME has called Massive and militant workers’ demonstrations all over Greece on June 3 To be followed by NATIONAL GENERAL STRIKE on 10th June 2021 demanding withdrawal all the bills and further demanding unfettered right to trade union, increase in wage and pension, 7-hour work day, 5-day, 35-hour work week
CITU stands in total solidarity with the Greek working class and wish the strike a grand success. CITU further ask the Government to reverse the move to enact anti-workers legislation.
