As Nakliyat-İş Union, we lend our unwavering support to the massive strike taking place in Greece tomorrow. We salute the hundreds of thousands of workers from various trade unions who are raising their voices for justice and dignity in the workplace.

The demands put forth by the workers are not only just but crucial for ensuring a fair and equitable society. Substantial wage increases, restoration of collective bargaining rights, and the guarantee of fixed work hours with proper compensation are fundamental rights that every worker deserves.

The call for the restoration of Christmas and Easter bonuses, along with unemployment benefits at 80% of the minimum wage for all unemployed, speaks to the urgent need to address economic inequalities and provide essential support to those in need.

Furthermore, the demands for affordable electricity, abolition of indirect taxes, and tax-free limits are essential steps towards relieving the burden on working families and ensuring access to basic necessities.

We stand in solidarity with the demand for free, full, and unhindered healthcare for all, as well as the call to stop NATO spending and end Greece’s involvement in imperialist wars. These demands reflect the commitment to prioritize the well-being and security of the people over militarization and aggression.
