May Day is not a holiday. It is a strike

PAME denounces the tactic of the government, in coordination with the big employers to transfer May Day as if it is a holiday, on the second day of the orthodox Easter Holiday. This decision of the government is under the command, demand and in the service of the monopolies.

  May Dayis not a holiday.

It is strike!

It was establishes as an official day off because of the struggles and the sacrifices of millions of workers around the world, in the struggle to abolish the exploitation of man by man. The government does not have any right to transfer May Day as if it is a holiday. It is unjustified.

We call the Regional Trade union centres, the federations and the trade unions to defend the character of May Day. To declare a 24-hour strike on May 1st.
