The Demonstrations of PAME on May 18 were massive workers ’response to the anti-workers’ measures of the 4th Memorandum of the SYRIZA Government.
When the SYRIZA Government was voting the measures inside the Parliament, thousands of workers, youth, selfemployed were demonstrating under the banners of PAME.
The massive demonstrations and actions of the last period proved that the arguments of the Government that “the people support the Government and agree with the antiworkers’ measures” were lies.
The big demonstrations of May were a continuation of the big strike of May 17, of the important struggles of many sectors (Local Administration, Construction, Maritime, Pensioners etc). The main slogan was “Workers Forward! Destroy the Memoranda and the Bosses! Rise Up! Against the new Agreement-Theft of the Government-Capital-EU”
PAME calls the workers and the people to continue the struggle. To be ready to respond against the burdens, the misery that the new measures will create. Misery for the working class, in order to serve the interests of the business groups.
