With this email we want to inform you about the Basque company called CAF is tendering to get the work to make the trains of the tram in Jerusalem.

On summer time we were informed that the CAF company with its central office in Beasain Basque Country, was in the tender to get the works to make the trains of the tram in Jerusalem.

The first thing that the workers representation made was ask company’s direction if the company could confirm the information that we had got, and the company’s answer was affirmative.

Automatically LAB spoke with the other trade unions with representation in the workers committee ELA, CCOO and ESK sending to them one motion proposition with these contents;

1) The Workers Committee of CAF reaffirms in the defense in the of the Palestinian people’s human rights and for that we denounced the colonization and the apartheid that the Palestinian country suffered since 1948.

2) The Workers committee of CAF denounces the systematic human rights violation that the Palestinians suffered and we demand to Israel to stop in this strategy.

3) The Workers committee of CAF reaffirms that the Palestinian country has the right to be one state, and we demand a solution of Palestinian political prisoners and refugees in the context of one solution of the Palestinian conflict based in the self-determination of Palestine.

4) In th opinion of the Workers Committee of CAF, the tram from Jerusalem furthered in the colonization and apartheid and that’s why we are against this project.

5) For all of that, we demand to the CAF corporation move away of this tender to make the trains of tram in Jerusalem.

One document with these resolutions has been sent by the LAB-CAF Trade Union Section to the other trade unions with representation in the Workers Committee ELA, CCOO and ESK and today only ESK has sent its affirmative response to our proposition. We continue waiting the response of the other trade unions.
