The FECTRANS – Federation of Transport and Communications Unions and its Railway Union (SNTSF – National Union of Railway Workers), union structures of the CGTP-IN of Portugal, salute the Greek workers in struggle today, when 2 years have passed since the crime-train collision in Tempe, which claimed the lives of 57 people.

The capitalist policies transform public services provided to populations into instruments at the service of profit, in which people become just numbers, so that the important thing is profits and that is why we are witnessing the degradation of important public services.

Given this, it is the workers who have to take into their own hands the defense of a public service, with workers, at the service of people, because they must come first.
