The Federation of Construction Workers of Greece, member of PAME and WFTU, denounces the Turkish government that responded with violence, repression and arrests of workers who are working at the new Istanbul Airport, after the mobilization they made to protest the new labor accident, resulting in injury of 17 people.

We express our solidarity with the struggling workers of the construction of the new Airport.

We know that they are experiencing wildly intensified work, forced to work under terrible working conditions with complete lack of protection measures for their health and safety. Occupational accidents are hundreds, with result that many workers lost their lives and many more have been injured.

We demand that this miserable situation stops now. Stop repression and violence against workers and immediately meet their fair demands.
