We won’t be spectators to our own misery. We have bitter experience from the notorious negotiations between the Greek Government and the European Union-IMF-ECB and European Commission that are ongoing. In order to best serve the industrialists, other employers’ organizations, and the big monopolies, the SYRIZA Government is ready to further tighten the noose around the working family’s neck.
They want us to live with hunger-wages, under flexible, precarious, working relations, life with underpaid programs, continuous pension-cuts and cuts in our needs. They want to guarantee that business groups will get money with new laws, integration in financial packages, new tax exemptions.
On the ground of previous anti-workers’ measures that crush our lives, they agree to the unified, new round of attack, with new measures against workers’ rights and trade union freedoms. They agree to new, brutal taxation to the people, renewal of the anti-workers’ agreements after 2018, and the consolidation of the blοοdstained “primary surpluses” of the state budget.
Whatever the industrialists and the big employers of each sector demanded in the past has now become part of the memoranda!
So today the industrialists’ union and other employer organizations demand new, permanent measures. They express their demands clearly. In the weekly newspaper of the industrialists they say “we need a “Greek Memorandum+Plus”, which will go further than the manual of the creditors.”
The capitalists are building the future recovery of their profits on the ruins of people’s rights.
They want to ensure cheaper labor, workers in chains. They want to eliminate any workers’ right left and they demand no reactions, so as to continue the attack on people’s rights, in order to increase their profits.
They tell lies and foster illusions once again!
Threats and blackmail are escalating once more!
They are using again all tested tactics of extortion. They want the workers’ to choose between Scylla and Charybdis, to choose between the supposedly “good” EU and the bad IMF.
In order to serve the interests of the business groups, the government, the political parties that voted in favor of the 3rd memorandum and also the trade unions that are controlled by the employers and the government, they want us to be inactive, to compromise in the and accept this barbarism.
We now need to strengthen the militant action in every trade union, every workplace. To organize the response to old and new anti-workers’ measures, the counterattack for jobs with rights, for a decent life. We have nothing good to expect from these negotiations, whose aim is the recovery of the business groups’ profits. They will not give us back our rights, wages and pensions. Instead, they will escalate the attack!
Together, workers, farmers, self-employed must turn against them.
To join forces against the common enemy, against the monopolies that exploit us.
