The European Regional Office of WFTU expresses its class solidarity with KAVALA OIL workers in Greece.
Under the pretext of the pandemic, the governments and the big capital are imposing measures that restrict and criminalize the labor movement action and they are attacking the rights of workers gained through hard struggles.
In this framework, the provocative decision of the KAVALA OIL company in Greece to lay off 24 workers, among them members of the Union board, consists a direct attack against the labor movement and the workers’ rights.
These conditions create the need to strengthen solidarity and to intensify our class struggles against anti-popular policies and attacks against workers rights.
We condemn the authoritarianism and the threats of the company and we demand the immediate cancel of the layoffs.
