PAME (All Workers Militant Front) denounces the escalation of authoritarianism and prosecutions against trade union action in Turkey and workers’ struggles in the company MEDLOG-MSC.

The government of Turkey, acting as the “right hand” of multinationals that dismiss workers and cut wages, utilizing the Emergency Situation imposed after the attempted coup, proceeded to attack the trade union Nakliyat-Is (WFTU Affiliate), which together with the employees of the company MEDLOG-MSC were making protests against the 130 dismissals made by the company. At the same time, the Turkish Police attempted to arrest the President of the Trade Union, Ali Rıza Küçükosmanoğlu, who is also President of the WFTU Trade Union International of Transport. When this attempt failed, they arrested four other members of the Trade Union, who were released under the pressure of the workers.

PAME, which had made Solidarity mobilization at the offices of multinational MSC in Piraeus a few days ago, denounces this new development.

We demand:

The immediate reinstatement of all the dismissed workers.

To stop the prosecutions against workers and trade union militants
