Hands down from the workers’ right in organization

Hands down from the workers’ right collective struggle and action.

The Greek Government must not even dare bring the demands of the business groups in the parliament, which aims to intimidate the working class so as not to rise up. We can stop their plans.

The trade unions that sign this Resolution call upon every Regional Trade Union Center, every Workers’ Federation, every Trade Union, and trade unionist, the workers in all workplace, to rally in the struggle to prevent the demands of business groups and governments. Workers must discuss in the workplaces and through collective processes massively, militantly and resolutely to respond to the plans of the employers. Without delay, we organize our struggle, creating the conditions to escalate our response with a General Strike.

In spite of what the government says about “Fair” Growth, return to regularity and that it will improve the lives of workers, the attack will continue with greater intensity. It will be accompanied by new cuts in people’s needs through the generalization of flexible working relations. That is why the Government is escalating the attack. It is well aware that the imposition of anti-people policies and anti-workers measures needs repression so that workers’ struggles “freeze”.

These plans take their place next to the court rulings according to which all strikes are declared illegal and abusive, and many strikers are sentenced because they fight for their needs, health and safety at work, wage increases, pensions and social benefits. These plans are in alliance with the measure of “political mobilization”, which is declaring state of emergency as in war, so as to block workers decision to strike, with the threat of serious consequences to the workers in the event of non-compliance with the government and the employers.

They want to crush our lives and us not to say nothing about it
The government’s arguments, as well as those of the previous ones, the arguments of other parties and forces of the capital for “interventions” that will strengthen democracy and workers’ participation in the decision-making in trade unions, cannot fool us.
They want to put their workers ‘struggles under control, so that the interests of the industrialists, the Shipowners, Bankers and other exploiters are not questioned. All those who, in the name of their profitability, have been demanding that measures be taken against strikes ,to make it even easier to break down every concept of workers’ right and to impose worse terms of work, to hinder the organization of the working class, trade unions. They want to have unions that they can control.

They want to put obstacles in the struggle of the 535 Workers’ Federations and Trade Unions who demanded for the signing of National Collective Agreement and the restoration of the minimum wage as the basis for higher wages in all sectors. The struggle to cancel all anti-worker laws that imposed starvation wages. To restore sectoral collective contracts. We demand Collective Contracts with wage increases. In the struggle for the elimination of flexible working relations, for full time and steady jobs

We declare our decision:

We will not accept any law that will put obstacles in operation and action, in the organization of workers’ struggle.

We will respond with a general strike.

We do not back down, no matter how many laws they impose.

We continue the struggle to abolish the anti-worker, anti-people laws and the memoranda.
