Organization and escalation of the struggle

The Executive Secretariat of PAME considered the general strike of December 15 and the demonstrations of the class-oriented forces across the country very successful, in its meeting on Thursday, December 16.

At this meeting the general strike on December 15 was estimated to have been a further decisive step for the escalation of the struggle and the action of PAME. The high participation in the strike, was not only due to the aggravation of the problems of the working class, but it was also the result of the work of the class-oriented trade union movement, which organized the struggle with better planning and insistence, with more general meetings in the working places, with more meetings and discussions in the neighbourhoods of workers, all the previous period.

Through this strike the subversive role of the governmental and employers’ trade unionism became once again obvious. On the contrary, PAME was once again strengthened; its prestige was increased in the consciousness of the workers.

PAME calls upon the trade unions to immediately discuss, prepare and organize the workers for new strike escalation in the coming period.

The duties of the class-oriented forces for the next period, as it was discussed at the meeting of the Executive Secretariat of PAME, are:

• The coordination of workers by sector and enterprise.

• The organization of workers in every working place, in every small and big enterprise, in order the anti-labour law which levels the rights and the lives of the working class, not to be applied.

• The politicization of the struggle and to make clearer the perspective of the conflict for the other path of development, which will serve the needs of the working class.
