The wages and salaries are reduced either directly through the cuts of the government and employers, or indirectly through the taxes loads and price increases in all goods of basic consumption, service charges etc. They are planning to abolish the Collective Agreements.

The retirement age is increased and will be equal to the life expectancy; pensions become a welfare benefit, social care and welfare are totally abolished and the slogan “if you have money you have social security, otherwise you die helpless” is in force.

Dismissals are rapidly increased; the working time is becoming even more flexible and terrorism in working places is aggravated. Unemployment blows every working and popular family and new tens of thousands of dismissals are being prepared at the same time in the private and public sector.

Hospital deficits cost human lives and many people die while they are waiting for an appointment. Hundreds of thousands of people are completely uninsured and access to the doctors and medicines becomes even more expensive for the benefit of the few who are becoming even richer.

Classes of 30 and 40 pupils are being prepared in schools, funds are being cut and they seek sponsors and monopolies that will finance education. Our children are being taught with rotten, useless and reactionary information and the graduation diploma has become a “plain paper” that doesn’t help the children to find a job.

The government and employers rapidly escalate the war against our rights, our lives, our class, at the expense of all workers in the cities and villages.

The government satisfies every demand and desire of the capital and makes them law of the state. It establishes new privileges and benefits for the big capital and with the same laws abolishes and misnames as illegal every labor rights and conquests.

It utilizes a huge mechanism of propaganda (newspapers, radio, television etc.) attempting to create the impression that the people not only support the government measures, but also to achieve sections of the people to massively support this nightmare. Its attempts have no success up to now.

The government is supported by the employers’ trade unionism, who systematically denies the coordination of action, the escalation of the struggle; it seeks to defuse the militant mood, the mass disappointment so that the governmental measures will be implemented.

The governmental and employers’ trade unionism did not only support all the antilabor measures of all the previous governments, but it also supports now the government and employers so that the working class will accept the abolition of all the remained rights.

Working men and women, young people,

It is now the time for our personal responsibility for every one of us, for all of us. Unless we decide to stand up against the war that they have launched, we will be bound hand and foot with our back against the wall for many, many years. We do not have such a right. We have a duty to counter-attack. We owe it to ourselves, our families, and the next generations.

They ask us to make bloody sacrifices so that the profits of monopolies will be saved or increased. They deceive the people; they say that they are trying for the best of the country. They ruthlessly cheat when they declare that there will be better days for the workers. There is no end to this war that they have launched.

All Workers Militant Front calls upon the Boards of the Trade Unions, every honest trade unionist, every working men and women to decisively, militantly struggle for the success of the 2-days strike on April 21 and 22. By our participation to the strike we will respond to the employers, government and the subjugated trade union leaders.

We demand:

• To take back all the antilabor measures.

• The new law for the pension system not to be deposit and all the previous laws of the neoliberal and social democratic governments which attacked pensions to be cancelled

• The National General Collective Agreement and sectoral collective agreements to be immediately signed with substantial increases.

• To immediately prohibit the dismissals and to take effective protection measures for the unemployed people (to give unemployment benefit to all, without conditions and full medical care etc.)

Struggle to overthrow the antipopular policy, so that better days will be downing. We produce the whole wealth and are grabbed by the few. We are the many. We have the power. It is time to take our decisions. The plutocracy must bankrupted, not the people.
