ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Immigrants

            All the social security rights that we had until now, are abolished by the measures that the capital, government, IMF and E.U. commonly apply. They want to get over with the social security, so the monopolies will gain more profits. The government is disgracefully lying when they say that they negotiate with the TROIKA to prevent the worst measures for the pensions and the age of retirement. These measures are commonly pre-decided, because the government and TROIKA have as their God the profitability of the capital. 

            What do they want to impose:

·               No pensioner under 65 years old.

·               The workers in Heavy and Unwholesome Jobs to be retired at 60 years old and many occupations to be out from the list of Heavy and Unwholesome Jobs.

·               The pension to be calculated from the total of years of the working life, which will lead to 40% – 75% reduction in pensions.

·               To gradually implement the measures by 2011 and completely by 2015.

·               To eliminate the widows’ pensions.

·               To eliminate the early retirement for women.

·               To work obligatory for 40 years, with 300 stamps per year in order to have full pension. 

·               To increase the age of retirement for women who work in public and private sector from 5 to 17 years.

·               BASIC PENSION fewer than 360 euros.

·               To abolish the auxiliary pensions, since they will be given according to the “viability” of the funds, as they claim. All the funds have deficit with the responsibility of the governments of PASOK (socialdemocrats) – N.D. (conservative party).

·               6% reduction in pension for every year if someone takes pension earlier than 65 years old.

·               To exempt the state from any guarantee that had in the past.

Nobody escapes; they are leading the working class many decades back. The consequences will be even more tragic for all the working class, especially the youth, since the 40 years of work with 300 stamps is an untouched dream, given the expansion of unemployment, the uninsured work, the flexible forms of employment. We have to counterattack and not wait for our massacre.
