USB : Solidarity and support to the struggle of the Greek workers of commerce-retail sector

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις

The USB expresses all its support for the strike day of April 5 of the Greek workers, against Sunday opening in the shopping malls and stores:

Low wages, job insecurity, total flexibility and complete availability to the needs of companies: this is the condition of those who work in the commerce sector. Today worsened by the employers that claim to cancel Sundays and holidays. For workers and employees of the stores and malls the calendar has no days marked in red, the holidays do not exist. The availability to work has to be total, to command is only the logic the economic profit of the companies. And this happens in all European countries.

The complicity of the concertative trade unions and of this corrupted political class has guaranteed until today that this project goes ahead smoothly. Now it is time to stop them!

Dear comrades, we recognize ourselves in your fight, which will be our struggle. Side to Side for a common front against the increasingly harsh conditions imposed by the owners.

It ‘a common struggle that speaks to all workers of multinational trade, of all European companies, goes beyond the field of trade, is a response to European Union directives applied by local governments against the working class.

We are at your side to defend our common rights and to fight the old new forms of exploitation of workers.
