Announcement of the Trade Union of workers in Forthnet
Cancel Now All the Lay Offs- Hands off The Trade Union Action
We give direct response to the employers
THURSDAY 26/2: 3hour strike action 14.00-17.00
We do not step from our rights! No employer – no government can exceed our strength. They are not giving us anything. We stand opposite to the waiting and illusions. The legislation that established hunger-wages and the annihilation of our rights is not being removed. It is going to continue to exist for the children of our grandchildren.
The announcement of the new coalition government of Syriza(socialdemocratic) and Anel(far-right) to restore the minimum wage back in €751 said that will happen gradually (if and when circumstances permit) in consultation with the Industrialists’ Union and the GSEE, which is the same who follows the directives of the capitalists and is signed the wage cuts to the salaries of €500!
The “hope” came, saw and left..!
No trust, no faith, no matter what they say and what they promise!
Down with the layoffs and unemployment! Down with the intensification and employers’ terrorism! Down with the sweatshop conditions!
Organization and solidarity! Struggle and collective action! Our morality!
4 and March 5, 2015, two days of militant action, weekend of continuous actions throughout the industry.
We must fight for
-
Reinstatement of the dismissed employees
-
To recover the losses of the Collective Contracts
-
For the fulfilment of our contemporary needs
We escalate our struggles, with better organization at all company buildings, with the participation of all colleagues, with more workers joining the Trade Union.
We demand:
-
No lay offs-Immediate reinstatement of the redundant – Stop the layoffs and trade union persecution.
-
Signing of Collective Contract-Inclusion of all outsourced workers in the Collective Contracts as employees of Forthnet, to convert fixed-term contracts into open for all employees, humane working conditions, wages and rights based on our current needs.
-
Health and safety measures corresponding to the specifics of our work.
