The new Minister of Labour of the socialdemocratic SYRIZA, jumped backwards in relation to his electoral commitments and the draft law that was made by the current government as opposition three months ago. The immediate restoration of minimum wage to 751 euros turned into progressive and vague restoration which will result from negotiations between the social partners. At the same time, the “growth shock” he said, is translated to new privileges for businesses, because above all are the needs of the big business groups.

PAME calls the trade unions not to wait, not to step back and remain steady in their demands for wages, collective agreements, social insurance, protection of the unemployed and their families.

It turns out in real life that only with the force of the labor – popular movement, with the daily struggles and organization in every place of work and in every industry, workers can conquer their rights, to demand the immediate recovery of their losses, to put an end to the policies of crumbs and claim the wealth they produce.
