The Government Of SYRIZA Met Today’s Workers’ Demonstrations With Lies, Slander And Police Violence (Photos)

The Minister of Labour of SYRIZA while presenting today the new Bill on Social Security welcomed the positions of the big capitalists on Social Security, as a positive example. Thus, he openly advertised those who have more than one million workers unpaid. Those who impose “black”, uninsured work for 25% of the workforce. Those who have cut the wages 40 and 50%.

This way they revealed themselves as a government that legislates and supports the demands and the wishes of the capitalists. They revealed that whichever kind of growth they promote, it will step on the workers’ rights. They want to bring back –under the false label of “equality”-, all the measures that the Greek people blocked the previous years with its struggles and strikes.

At the same time the SYRIZA Government met workers’ demonstrations slander and police violence.

The forces of PAME held a demonstration since early morning in front of the Prime Minister’s Mansion. Later PAME’s forces, trade unions, workers, unemployed, young workers held a massive protest outside the Ministry of Labour. As the forces of PAME from the Ministry of Labour marched to join the protesters outside the Prime Minister’s Mansion, riot police forces attempted to block the demonstration. The police forces attacked the demonstrators with chemicals, tear gas and light grenades.

The SYRIZA Government’s attempts to oppress and intimidate the workers’-people’s movement, like its predecessors, will fail!

The demonstrators of PAME broke the police blockade and stated the will of the class trade union movement to stop the new bill.

All trade unions now to prepare the workers’ response, with new National General Strike!
