Strike at the Tourism Sector to support the participation in the November 1st National Rally

As the number of organisations, who join the call for massive participation in PAME’s National Rally on Unemployment, grows bigger day by day, some trade unions take up new initiatives to ensure the participation of their sectors.

Such an example is the Trade Union of Employees in Catering – Tourism – Hotels of Attica, which decided to call Strike in its Sector on November 1st.

In its announcement the trade union demands:

 

  • Steady jobs for all employees. To sign immediately National Collective Agreement that will re-establish the minimum wage at 751€ and that will be the basis for all Sectoral Collective Agreements

  • To sign NOW Collective Agreement in the Catering Sector that will re-establish the wages and rights as were before 2012

  • Local Collective Agreement in Hotels of Atticca, that will raise the salaries and cover the losses of the last period

  • 8hour workday-5days a week

  • No worker without the rights of the Collective Agreement

  • Cancellation of all anti labour laws

  • Cancellation of the anti peoples taxes

  • Full state guarantee of people’s pensions-No pension under 600€

  • No worker without healthcare-Cancellation of the laws against free public healthcare and social security
