The trade unions of Athens supported with a big concert the 200 workers of the ATHENS LEDRA HOTEL, who are owed wages since March and are to lose their jobs, so as the employer to replace them with new workers, under smaller salaries.

The workers of the LEDRA Hotel have been on strikes and sit in at the hotel since the end of May demanding the protection of their jobs and the payment of their accrued wages. The tactics of the employer (Multinational based in Cyprus) were revealed, when in an attempt to dismiss the workers if filed for bankruptcy at a time when the hotel was working with 80-90% capacity.

The workers Union has been on continuous action the last weeks with protests at the Ministry of Labour, strikes and sit ins at the hotel. In an effort to express the solidarity of the working class of Athens a big concert was held in front of the Hotel.

PAME calls for the militant unions to strengthen their support and solidarity with the just demands of the workers.
