PAME, which represents the class trade union movement of Greece, expresses its Solidarity with the South African Healthcare and Public Sector Employees and NEHAWU, a member of the WFTU, who are fighting for the protection of workers’ rights and the health of South African workers and people.
NEHAWU calls for a variety of actions and mobilizations throughout South Africa from 1 to 3 September and a National Strike on 10 September with key demands
- For Improved working conditions
- Against the dismantling of collective bargaining.
- Against the state’s attack on the right to strike
- For adequate workplace safety and protection of frontline workers against COVID-19 infections and for provision of personal protective clothing.
