PAME expresses its solidarity with the workers of France who continue their great, long-lasting struggle with a strike on 7 March against the Macron government’s attempt to raise the retirement age limit.
Colleagues, in these difficult times in Greece, we want to thank the thousands of workers and trade unions in France for their solidarity and their many expressions of support following the fatal train crash near the city of Larissa.
Amidst the enormous grief and anger at this crime, the workers and young people of Greece came out in large, huge demonstrations with a slogan from the time of the pandemic of the workers in the Paris supermarkets, “THEIR PROFITS, OUR DEAD”!
With this slogan, thousands of youth, students, workers and trade unions in Greece are mobilizing all these days demanding that there be no cover-up of the crime and demanding protection of the lives of the people. Our lives that business groups, the EU and governments sacrifice every day to protect the profits of the few. With the slogan “Our grief and our anger, to become a force of struggle” the struggle of the workers of Greece is escalating with a strike on March 8.
In these moments, the great strike on March 7 in France has a special importance for us as it is a great struggle for life, for the present and the future of the workers against the system that kills and exploits us.
It is a great struggle for the peoples and workers of Europe and that is why we are on your side.
Solidarity with the workers of France!
