The trade Unions of workers in Telecommunications of Athens, Telecommunications of Thessaloniki, Forthnet and 360-Vodafone, members of PAME and WFTU send message of solidarity to the 40.000 workers of Verizon in the USA, who began their strike on the 13 of April 2016 demanding signing a Collective Agreement.

The last 10 years, Verizon has reduced its employees by 40%, despite the huge growth of profitability. At the same time, it uses flexible working relations and outsourcing, demanding that the technicians would work far from their homes for 2 months, without seeing their families.

The situation is similar to the other companies of our sector in USA, EU and throughout the world. In a sector of huge profitability, the growing competition of the business groups demands new sacrifices by the workers, deteriorating working conditions.

Against the attack of the business groups, workers have the weapon of organising their struggle and Solidarity.
