PAME Stands Shoulder To Shoulder With The Small Farmers’ Struggle

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις

The small farmers of Greece have been for almost 3 weeks in roadblocks all over the country fighting for their survival, against heavy taxation and low prices for their products. A situation that worsens because of the continuous anti-peoples’ policies of the Greek Government and the European Union. Policies that benefit the concentration of land and agricultural production to a few big corporations, throwing the small farmers from their lands to unemployment and debts.

The class trade unions have been next to the struggle of the small farmers since the beginning, promoting common struggle of workers and poor farmers against the common enemy, the monopolies and the EU.

PAME calls all trade unions, Federations and Labour Centres to express their solidarity and support the National Demonstration of the small farmers, which they have called for February 14 in Athens. All unions, all workers of Athens must have massive participation to the demonstration of the farmers.

Workers and Small Farmers United against the Common Enemy, Against the Monopolies and the EU.
