PAME condemns the release from custody of the Fascist-Murderer-Golden Dawn Member, Giorgos Roupakias.
The member of the fascist-Nazi criminal Golden Dawn party, Roupakias, who has confessed murdering the antifascist Pavlos Fyssas 3 years ago, was released from custody on Friday, March 18. His release has been justified as mandatory after completing the maximum of 18 months in pretrial detention.
The Government of SYRIZA, as well as the previous Government, bears great responsibilities for this development. The pretrial detention was completed because of great delays to the trial of the members of Golden Dawn. The Governments delayed in securing all the necessary for the immediate and without postponements completion of the trial.
PAME calls all unions to denounce this development. All Unions, all workers to show no tolerance to the fascists-murderers. No tolerance to those who are responsible, not only for the murder of Fyssas, but also for numerous attacks and crimes against unionists, against members of PAME, against communists and against migrants. The people and the youth must be alert and isolate the Nazi-fascist Golden Dawn, wherever it shows its face, especially in the work places.
