PAME condemns the employer’s threats against a young woman worker for being pregnant!

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις

The Secretariat of PAME, in Heraklion, Crete condemns another of the employers uncontrolled terrorism: the case of a pregnant colleague who works at an engineering company, which not only does not pay the employee but also threatens her in order to quit from her job, because of being pregnant!

We express our complete solidarity and support to our colleague.

This is yet another case that brings up the sweatshop conditions that prevail in hundreds of working places in Heraklion: work “accidents” that many times lead the workers to death, outsourced employees with no rights, unpaid work, companies that only work with employees “on trial period”, who the moment they ask to get paid they get fired, and many other examples.

The capitalists are out of leash since they have on their side a whole armory of anti-labor laws that the Greek Government has voted for. These are the results of the competitiveness and capitalist development. Poverty, unemployment, authoritarianism.

No one alone! All workers and unemployed unite in your unions! Enough with the misery, the fear and the silence. We can bring the situation upside down with our organization.

We shall unite our voices on the General National Strike on Thursday 27th
