The Workers of the MARINOPOULOS Super Markets (former Carrefour) and other super market chains, went on Strike last Friday in many Greek cities.

The workers demanded payment of their wages, protection of their jobs, immediate financial support by the state to the unpaid workers and other measures of protection.

The workers organized demonstrations in Athens, Thesaloniki and other cities, which followed with protest at the Ministry of Labour in Athens.

The workers’ next steps will be to discuss and evaluate the results of the strikes in every super market, to use the experience for the preparation of their next actions.
