Federations, Trade Unions, mass organizations from all over Athens held simultaneous rallies both at the Ministry of Health and outside large private hospitals. At the rallies, public and private healthcare employees and doctors were present together, through their unions, jointly claiming the immediate requisition of Private Hospitals, so that all available resources could enter the battle to stop the pandemic.

With public hospitals across the country and especially Attica region suffocated and pandemic figures becoming more and more shocking, with dozens of intubated ICUs, while thousands of private sector beds are available but not used. At the same time, the militant rallies were another response to the government’s mockery which is providing cover to Health business groups.
