PAME expresses its Solidarity with the workers and trade unions in Pakistan for the deaths of miners.
Since the beginning of the year, there have been numerous incidents in mines in Pakistan that have led to the death of dozens of workers, most recently the collapse of a mine in Marwar, Balochistan.
The main cause of these continuing crimes is the lack of health and safety regulations in mines and in the workplaces in general, as the state and the employers see workers as expendables for their profitability.
PAME expresses its solidarity with the trade union organizations in Pakistan in their struggle to protect the lives and rights of workers. We express our warm condolences to the families of the victims.
