Immediate Measures for the Heatwave at Childcare Facilities

Δημοσιεύτηκε στις

In view of the weather conditions the next few days, apart from the measures to be taken for the safety of workers in the workplace, we want to point out that many childcare facilities (public and private) are not able to meet the needs of a heatwave. They have no air conditioning inside the buildings, but also in the vehicles for transporting infants and toddlers. We point out the danger to the safety and lives of young children, from such deficiencies. We stress, in parallel, that even today with the legal framework, the air conditioning is not considered essential and necessary equipment for the operation of the childcare facilities. The Government carries great responsibilities and must take immediate measures to address the risks of high temperatures and safety of workers and children.
