The Executive Secretariat of PAME salutes the workers of the multinational Coca Cola who massively, decisively participated today in the 24-hour strike, following the mobilizations taking place for some time now. They gave a response to the plans of the business group through their participation in the strike, showing the power that the working class can have. These plans lead to unemployment many workers, transferring the production process to other countries, in order to increase their profits.
This strike is important because it has to do with a multinational company where there is great terror, fear among workers and the company’s effort to attack the trade unions, the collective struggle and impose the individual contracts on workers is dominant.
It is an important legacy to strengthen the coalition, the class unity of workers, the common effort and action of the Panhellenic Federation in Food and Drink Industries and the Panhellenic Federation of Labors at Bottled Drinks.
This common action, decision and organization of the struggle help to strengthen the confrontation with the employers and their governments.
The Executive Secretariat of PAME calls upon the working class, the trade unions to strengthen their solidarity with the strikers of Coca Cola.
The participation percentages are:
PATRA 100%, ATHENS 100%, SCHIMATARI 100%, HERAKLION of CRETE 100%, THESSALONIKI 100%, VOLOS 100%.
