PAME, which represents the class trade union movement of Greece, express its deep condolences for the death of two workers on the 27th of November 2017 after a coal mine collapsed in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak province in the Black Sea region of Turkey.

This is not the first crime for mine workers not even at the same district as only in 2017 3 similar incidents happened that resulted in 9 dead workers or the great tragedy of Soma

Once again the working class pays the toll for the increased profits as they treat safety measures as extra cost.

PAME expresses its deep condolences to the families of the victims and its solidarity with the Turkish workers in their struggle to stop exploitation, to take effective workers ‘safety measures and to punish those responsible for employers’ crime.
