SETIP (Telecommunications Workers’ Union) in NOKIA Greece expresses solidarity with the workers of NOKIA all over the world and calls for the strengthening of coordination and militant initiatives against layoffs.
For many years, NOKIA has been laying off thousands of workers around the world as part of its so-called “restructuring plans.”
At the same time, NOKIA during the pandemic took advantage of teleworking and imposed labor intensification, overtime and working all day.
Developments reveal that nothing positive comes for the workers through “sacrifices for the good of the company”, for its profits and its competitiveness. But for the workers this means wage cuts, worsening working conditions, layoffs and unemployment.
The competition and the conflicts of the big companies of our industry, have the workers as permanent victims
NOKIA workers around the world need to respond to the new attack in a coordinated and organized manner
No workers should lose their job – We defend the rights of all workers
