The massive demonstration of the Strike in Thessaloniki protested also at the Port of the city which is being used by NATO to transfer military personnel and armaments. Against the peaceful demonstration the Government sent police forces which attacked the demonstration, arrested 8 protesters, cadres of PAME, one journalist and 2 members of the Central Committee of the KKE (Communist Party of Greece). The violent police attack resulted in injuries of the arrested, who were even refused proper medical care and were handcuffed, even after being put in wheelchair.
