On March 29 in Thessaloniki, workers’ Unions, Farmers associations, students’ and self employed organizations organized a big demonstration against an event organized by the Greek Government, where key speaker would be the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
When a delegation of the demonstration attempted to break the police blocks, police responded with tear gas, light grenades and chemicals.
The Unions stated that the anti-peoples policies of the SYRIZA-ANEL Government go hand in hand with the oppression and violence against the popular strata.
