Celebration of the 16 year anniversary of PAME
Honor to the 70 year anniversary of WFTU
April 3rd, 1999. Through a conference of hundreds trade union leaders, was realized what many workers demanded, from every trade union, every work place in both the private and public sector “move on, -they said-change the situation within the movement”, “we cannot tolerate this situation anymore”, “do something”.
This is how the All Workers Militant Front (PAME) was founded. In this first call of struggle, responded many trade unions, federations, regional trade union centers, workers’ committees and individual trade unionists. The foundation of PAME took place at the same time when the murderous NATO attacks started against Yugoslavia, on March 24. PAME acted in a militant and heroic way, demonstrating in Yugoslavia during the bombings!
16 years of contribution and tireless work in all fronts of struggle, serving the interests of the working class against the Capital, the European Union and the antilabour policies, so as the trade union movement to have steady, class orientation and get rid of the burden of the employers and the governments.

With a rally-concert dedicated to the international workers’ songs
With massive participation of workers, pensioners, youth, women we honor the struggles of the working class, we raise our banners, and we sing the anguishes and the hopes of the wretched of the earth, to express our solidarity with the workers’ struggles around the world.
We send message that the working class fights and creates the requisitions for better days that we will continue tirelessly, no account of effort and time, for the organisation of the workers’ forces, the organisation of struggle, overcoming the obstacles created by the monopolies and their governments, the employers and governmental trade unionism. To make our slogan heard “Without workers no cog turns! Workers can live without bosses!”
We celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the WFTU to pay tribute to the struggles of the working class and the class-oriented trade union movement of the world, to pay tribute to the martyrs who fought for the betterment of the working class and humanity, to educate the next generations with the achievements, the difficulties and the importance of the class struggle, to spread the awareness about the positions and the tremendous role of the WFTU in the struggle against imperialism, colonialism, apartheid, exploitation, to express our appreciation for the solidarity and support of the WFTU and the class trade unions expressed to the struggles of the working class of Greece.
In a few days will be the 129th anniversary of May 1st 1886. All trade unions, all workers to take part in the demonstrations of PAME, all over Greece. With militant demonstrations we forward the unity of the working class, for the reconstruction of the workers’-peoples’ movement, to organise our counterattack.
