Dear comrades,

We share the grief that the people of Greece feel because of the railway accident that happened on the last day of February. Concerning the casualties, we express our condolences to the people of Greece and hope for the rapid recovery of the injured.

The railway accident in Greece, as well as the earthquakes in Türkiye, have both resulted in heavy consequences for the peoples of the two countries.

Let us put it directly: the earthquakes in Türkiye and the railway catastrophe in Greece are nothing but huge massacres.

If measures had been taken against such disasters, accidents, or catastrophes, the loss of our citizens could be avoided. Yet, it is this social order based on market relations that caused these casualties. It is the policy of privatization. It is the unlimited freedom granted to the bosses of construction. It is the mentality that puts the profits of the bourgeoisie over the very life of the workers.

This social order of exploitation that causes our lives must be immediately overthrown.

We express our solidarity with the working class of Greece, which showed its solidarity during the earthquakes in Türkiye and which struggles against such massacres as the last railway catastrophe.
