The workers at PD Solutions (Piraeus Bank subsidiary – call center for all of Greece) held a strike with massive participation on June 30.
They are escalating their fight in order for the employer to revoke the dismissals of 10 employees and to sign Collective Contract with increases for all employees. The June 30 strike was a continuation of the 3hr strike they had made on Wednesday. PDS employs approximately 400 workers, with 80-90% are through outsourcing from other companies.
The unwavering attitude of the workers has crushed the attempts of the employer to scare them, by calling the police and appealed to the courts even asking that the Union be fined with 2,000 euros for each day of the strike!
But the workers, all young in age, instead of retreating, declared that they are determined to continue the struggle and unanimously decided for a new 24-hour strike on Monday, July 4.
