The 4th Congress of Young Workers of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), held in Marseille by the local Regional Union, has concluded. The body of the congress appreciating the action and struggles of the class forces, the unions of workers, students, the people and the youth in Greece in general, as well as the internationalist solidarity developed, decided that the coordinator of the world committee of young workers will be PAME, electing Ilianna Hatziestathiou, 25 years old hotel worker, Board Member of the Athens Tourism-Hotel Workers Union

The congress was attended by trade union organisations from all over the world, with special highlights being the speeches from Palestine and from various countries that are fighting for the working class. At the closing of the proceedings, the Congress decided on a document of support and solidarity with the people of Palestine and a first plan of action for 2025, which will also mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the WFTU.
