WFTU in Solidarity with the Union and workers of Rivulis-Eurodrip

The World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) with more than 92 million members in 126 countries around the world expresses its class solidarity with its members in Greece, the workers in RIVULIS – EURODRIP Company of Israeli Interests. In particular, the company, a few days before the union’s elections, made two intimidating dismissals of class trade unionists, because they dared to be in the front line for the founding of a trade union in the company.

This effort is part of a more general climate of intimidations, designed to prevent and frighten workers from organizing their struggle, to tolerate unacceptable work, health and safety conditions that result in frequent work-related accidents. It is not a secret that capitalists with their governments want to see our class working in terms of the 19th century in order to continue unhindered the profit hunt.

At the same time, WFTU condemns the policy of the Greek government that is hand in hand with the Israeli government and invites Israeli capitalists in Greece, while workers continue to see their labor rights being abused and live as slaves in the 21st century.

The large class family of WFTU restates its solidarity with the dismissed unionists and expresses its class solidarity with their rightful demand for withdrawal of the dismissals, health and safety measures and wage increases.

We also call every class oriented unions in the world to support our Greek comrades.
