PAME expressed its solidarity to the working class of Turkey, because of the new employers’ crime with the 18 miners in the area Caravan of Turkey.

PAME’s Secretariat of International Relations phoned to trade union organisations from Turkey, with the President of DEV MADEN SEN, Tayfun Gorgun, the President of Nakliyat-is, Ali Riza Kucukosmanoglu and the President of Nakliyat-is branch of Konya, Ali Ozcelik, to express the support of the class trade union movement of Greece with the workers and the families of the missing miners. PAME transferred the solidarity and wishes of the Greek workers and informed on initiatives that are planned so as to put pressure to the Turkish Government.

The new employers crime, after the one at Soma where more than 300 workers were killed, again at a mine, reveals the inhumane face of Capitalism. The workers are sacrificed daily at the altar of profit. We call the working class to strengthen its movement, its organisations, demanding immediate measures of Health and Safety, to form and activate militant health and safety committees in every workplace.
